Another image of the warm respite from Chicago’s winter … taken while hiking in Phoenix on the Piestewa Peak Summit Trail. I took the liberty of shooting into the sun for a different look. This creates a harsh shot with lots of contrast. The backlighting of the cactus creates a glow around the edges which gives a nice separation from the surrounding brush.
