I took a road trip to Ohio this week, and on my way down I found myself driving on I65 through Indiana at dusk. I had trouble keeping my attention on the road as I was mesmerized by the dramatic midwest sunset across the open fields. Several times I considered pulling over to grab a few shots, but there was no place to do this safely … and, truth be told, I found myself in the midst of several drivers who were going the same speed as I was and I didm’t want to lose ground.
So, I became content on capturing the beautiful images in my head.
On my return trip the following day … I found myself sitting stationary on the same highway … at dusk … due to a prolonged truck crash. This became my opportunity to get some images of the same dramatic midwest sunset that’s been unable to photograph the day before.
