The Chicago skyline from an airplane

Dorothy and I took an early morning flight out of Midway Airport. I had the window seat on the left side of the plane as we headed east over the lake. Our flight path was a fair bit south of what I’m used to so the view of the city was more distant than usual. Nonetheless, I had a beautiful view of the Chicago skyline from an airplane at dawn again. My only disappointment is that I didn’t have the forethought to reach down into my carry-on for my Canon. Once I realized that it was at my feet and not in the overhead bin, it was too late … I’d have missed everything.

So, the photos really stretched the capabilities of my Samsun S5.

The downtown is of course dark and in shadow … but nonetheless distinct as it is surrounded by the streets that are illuminated. Larry Shapiro photo
