While on assignment in Arkansas, I came across this classic looking, rundown, decaying, and overall interesting garage. Many photographers are always on the lookout for interesting still-life subjects, and something with great textures.
Here is the straight forward, unedited, right out of the camera still-life of an old garage image taken on a cloudy day.

After a few tweaks in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, here is an enhanced file. One of the aspects of this image is the increase shadow area allowing full detail inside the garage.

Adding some presets from NIK Color Efex Pro produced this version with exaggerated overall textures.

One more file utilized several filters from Perfect Effects within the OnOne Perfect Photo Suite including some grunge, faux HDR, and a glow filter. The colors are subtle and the textures have been enhanced.

Each of these iterations is a slight variation from the original image. None have been overly dramatic by means of major tonal adjustments involving color or the feel.
