After I finished with the beauty shot, it was time to get some application shots. Since the truck we were using was not in service, we traipsed out to a spot where another Western Star 6900 was getting dirty. Now came photographing big trucks at work … the fun part.
Bear in mind that I was shooting medium format, and I had my Mamiza RZ67 on a tripod. This meant that I was only marginally mobile. But, playing in the mud with big trucks and earth moving equipment … it’s hard to describe the emotions.

When they let me loose in their playground, I generally don’t stop until either the trucks go away, or I’m told it’s time to leave. You can never have too many working shots.

The old double teaming …

It helps if you enjoy this type of assignment … it will show in the delivered product. And then of course, if you enjoy what you do, then it’s not work!
