During a multiple-day trip to New York and New Jersey, I had a flight cancellation which created an additional overnight for me. Fortunately, my nephew, Ben Fink Shapiro lives in Manhattan and was kind enough to offer me a place to stay.

We had a great time … visited Katz’s Delicatessen, watched a movie premiere at a private club, and went to the roof top of his five-story walkup to look at the Midtown Manhattan skyline.

It was a great view featuring the Chrysler Building, the Empire State Building, and the Freedom Tower among others.

Needless to say, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to create a few quick images. I brought my tripod up to the roof, set the Canon 5DMKIV to remote operation, sat back in a lounge chair, and composed these images remotely using the Canon Connect app on my phone.
