I spent Sunday and Monday in Kamloops, BC. It’s a beautiful area that largely sits in a valley surrounded by mountains. I went to a scenic lookout to capture the sunrise before went to work with the fire department. One of my goals was to capture both sunrise and west in Canada … though the sunset might have been in the US.

It’s a shame the motels are in the foreground and detract from the beauty of the sun’s glow and the mountains.

When the sun was finally setting, I was at 35,000 feet heading to Chicago from Vancouver …

I asked the flight attendant to ask the pilot to make a slight turn to the right to give me a better view of the sunset … but as you can see, it didn’t happen
