The entryway for the Royal Palms Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona provided a beautiful image at dusk. The addition of lights wrapped around the tree trunks added definition where there would have otherwise been only shadows.

The first image represents the RAW file right out of the camera. The second image highlights the data available within a RAW file to recover detail and dynamic range that would be lost in a JPEG.

This image was edited with Radiant Photo, then run through DxO ViewPoint to correct the perspective, and then some final touches to open the shadows in Luminar Neo, from Skylum.
