New Orleans skyline at night

I had an early morning flight out of the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport, which was a long drive from my assignment. After checking into a New Orleans hotel late at night, I was fortunate to have a balcony with a great view of the city. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for an image to capture my view.

From the balcony of my hotel room, I could not have captured this long exposure without a tripod

It was summer and the humidity was like 1000%, Evan at 11PM. I had to use caution so that the condensation did not obscure my lens. I setup the tripod, set my lens at F13, ISO of 125, and a shutter speed of 30 seconds to capture this dramatic image. I used DXO Viewpoint 4 to correct the perspective and made just a few tweaks with NIK Color Efex 6 to arrive at this final image.
