This is a followup post to the previous post of firemen rescuing two trapped victims in an overturned truck. After the victims were freed and the firefighters left the scene, it was up to the towing and recovery company to flip the truck back on it’s wheels and recover the cargo to cleanup the accident site.
The main truck used was a new, 2014, NRC Sliding Rotator on a Kenworth T800 chassis. The Hillside Towing Company operators were tasked with uprighting the tractor and trailer and then reloading two large steel coils onto another truck.
Now I like big work trucks of any type, so I decided to stick around to get shots of the recovery and to create a video as well. Under the heading of heavy wrecker working at truck wreck, these images will provide a synopsis of the job.
