Driving across the Commodore Barry Bridge

This past weekend Dorothy & I were in Philadelphia and south Jersey with Scott & Kelsey. The two states are separated by the Delaware River and there are three bridges that span the river in that area. The Ben Franklin Bridge, the Walt Whitman Bridge, and the Commodore Barry Bridge.

I have periodically posted images and videos taken from the car, most recently showing the Ben Franklin Bridge. We were staying in south Jersey on this trip, so we found ourselvesĀ driving across the Commodore Barry Bridge several times. Actually, we crossed all three bridges on the same day.

Similar to the other area bridges, the center barrier wall is moveable to regulate the number of lanes open in each direction. Larry Shapiro photo
